Hey-ohhhh! I got a new poster up that I just did for 10 Years/Crobot show at The Note. You can check it out on the Portfolio page. It's the first one up on the "Flyers" section. I've been looking a lot at works by Aubrey Beardsley and a bunch of other artists who use a lot of line work. I'm trying to incorporate more detailed pen & ink techniques in my own pieces for a bit more oomph and something new.  I used to do a lot of ink work back in high school and my freshman year of college... not really sure why I stopped

Speaking of college, I went to my alma mater (THAT sounds weird) last week for the 2013 class' Senior Show. Despite feeling old for not being a student anymore, everyone did a really great job, and I wish them all the best in their next adventures forward as emerging artists. It's only been a year since I graduated, and already I'm amazed at how much I've learned and developed.

On a different note, I'm really sad that How I Met Your Mother is finally dwindling down to it's final episodes...EVER. I truly wish it would just  go on for all eternity. I don't care if we find out who the mother is, I'm sure by now no one really watches that show for that part of the story. Whatever. I just hope Barney and Robin end up staying together. None of this "oh we were getting married but... psych!" Alas, we'll just have to wait and find out. I mean, I'm aware there IS more important things going on in the world... I guess. Haha. Take care, all!
Cheers!

Heyyo. I've finally got the final line drawing all inked out for this piece. I might rearrange the bird on the left a little bit to give a little more breathing room between it and the tambourine. Next step: lay in color and textures. Can't wait to have it finished!

I think I'm finally starting to figure out a decent time management system with this whole night shift thing (pfftt! It only took about 2 years!) Anyways, it feels so good to be productive! Here's an update from yesterday's sketch. It's still kind of rough, but I think I'm developing a clearer direction of where I want to take this. I need to mess around with the layout and whatnot. Starting to brew some ideas for how I want to place the color.

Hey! SO I've been telling myself I'm going to do it. I'm going to start and actually (regularly) maintain a blog. Why not? Exactly. Here's a super rough sketch of my latest project I'm working on. Just a little portfolio piece.
Cheers!
